The 3rd Annual POFF Riders Toy Run - Saturday, December 15, 2007 - Ocean Hills Church in San Juan Capistrano, CA
Partnering with the POFF Riders for the 3rd Annual Toy Run entitled "Standing in the Gap" were Ocean Hills Church in San Juan Capistrano, CA and Butler General Contractors. The focus this year was on supporting the wonderful families of our troops who are deployed overseas. Children from six divisions at Camp Pendleton joined the POFF Riders at Ocean Hills Church for some high-energy "curtooning" with Curt Visca, award-winning cartoonist and star of the television show "It's Curtoon Time". Next on the agenda was a huge and well-organized gift give-away with large donations from Ocean Hills Church and Butler. With the help of the Butler team, toys of all sizes including a truckload of bicycles were distributed to the children's delight. And no one went home hungry, thanks to a delicious lunch of beef, chicken and pork soft tacos with all the fixin's catered by Chronic Tacos and compliments of the POFF Riders. Delicious and beautifully decorated cakes topped off the feast, commemorating the families of the troops serving our country.
And what inspired all this celebration and many hours of work and planning by our special volunteers? Why...nothing other than our deep gratitude to God for giving us the greatest gift of all...His Son, Jesus!
