Words of Comfort, Hope and Promise
As POFF President Neil McAllister stated at the 8th Annual POFF Prayer Breakfast, "the United States military personal are peace officers on the international scene, just as our police officers keep the peace at home". Since then, POFF has celebrated our military heroes along with their law enforcement and firefighter partners. Cynthia Martinez is an author, speaker, singer and Founder/President of Words of Comfort, Hope & Promise. After 9/11, she distributed the book she was inspired to write entitled "America in Crisis" to over four thousand troops serving in Iraq, and has given cases of her books to their families. She is dedicated to encouraging and organizing communities and churches to get involved and demonstrate their support by offering comfort and hope to lift the morale of America and celebrate our military service men and women and their families.

The FORTE Foundation
In 2001, Dr. Bobby Smith founded FORTE - Foundation for Officers Recovering from Traumatic Events. FORTE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to providing counseling services and peer support to law enforcement officers at little or NO cost to the individual. A counseling and training facility in Springfield, Missouri is scheduled to open within the 2005-2006 season.
